YAKIMA, WA — The Yakima Convention Center and Yakima Valley Convention Center have announced a multiyear extension with Centerplate, a leading hospitality partner to North America’s premier convention centers and meetings venues.
“Over the last few years, we have made a substantial investment to transform the convention center into a more modern, guest-centric destination,” said Connie Upton, General Manager, Yakima Convention Center. “As we continue to attract conferences, meetings and events from around the Northwest, we are pleased to continue working with Centerplate as our exclusive hospitality, food and beverage service provider.”
“We are happy to carry on our partnership with the Yakima Convention Center,” added Greg Fender, Executive Vice President, Centerplate. “We will continue to source locally as much as possible, though our focus is on more than just the food, as we provide a level of hospitality that inspires and connects with the guests who come to spend time with us.”
Centerplate’s menu includes many fresh, local ingredients sourced from suppliers throughout the Pacific Northwest. Executive Chef Michael Zuniga will continue to hand-pick the dishes and curate the wines that are featured on the menu, including many from the acclaimed Yakima Valley wineries.
