Meet RWLV’s New COO, Jennifer Roberts – She Couldn’t Be More Perfect for Her New Post

Resorts World Las Vegas, that mega meeting and event complex located on 86 acres on the northern end of the Vegas Strip, the one that astounds all types of groups with more than 50 multi-functional, state-of-the-art meeting rooms, six ballrooms, and an expansive rooftop with dramatic views, recently named Jennifer Roberts as CCO or, rather, Chief Compliance Officer. What does a compliance officer do? As such, Jennifer will oversee a wide variety of compliance issues such as registration and licensing, responsible gaming, technical assistance and a whole lot more.

According to Alex Dixon, CEO of Resorts World Las Vegas, Jennifer won the position based on her expertise in gaming law and understanding of the casino regulatory environment, all of which made her “uniquely positioned to continue our efforts to build and sustain a robust, world-class compliance program.” Also, he commented: “Integrity, commitment and ethics are critical components of the culture at Resorts World Las Vegas, and Jennifer will play a key role in further strengthening our compliance program, ensuring it is appropriately designed, resourced, tested and empowered to promote a culture of compliance.”

For instance, Jennifer is particularly exemplary in the gaming industry as she was the founder of her gaming law firm, Roberts Gaming Law, Ltd. Furthermore, she is a seasoned compliance leader with more than 20 years of legal experience. Most recently, however, Jennifer served as Vice President and General Counsel at WynnBET, a mobile sports betting and iGaming operator. There, she oversaw compliance operations and developed reporting systems across multiple jurisdictions.

Jennifer also spent 11 years as an attorney in the Gaming & Regulatory Department at the Nevada-based law firm of Lionel Sawyer & Collins; and is an adjunct professor at both the UNLV William S. Boyd School of Law and S.J. Quinney College of Law at the University of Utah, from which she holds a J.D. See what we mean about perfect for the job?

For Resorts World Las Vegas, the new COO will lead the RWLV compliance organization, spearheading the design, development, and implementation of programs and policies. She will also help identify and manage compliance risks, conduct operational assessments, and ensure continuous testing and monitoring to maintain the highest standards in an evolving regulatory environment.
