Located less than 2 miles from the Jacob Javits Convention Center is the 225-room Park
Terrace Hotel. Offering views of the vibrant Bryant Park, the hotel is an ideal place for one-off
board or committee meetings and up-close-and-personal receptions. Meeting planners turn to
the stylish hotel when corporate groups desire a location within walking distance from city
staples such as the New York Public Library and Grand Central Terminal.
Summertime shines bright as the hotel unveils two new meeting spaces: The Reservoir and the
850-square-foot Fountain. According to Jeffrey Felshaw, general manager of the Park Terrace
Hotel, “The Fountain and The Reservoir pay tribute to the water features that define New York
City’s renowned parks, drawing inspiration from the fountain in Bryant Park and the reservoir in
Central Park.” Adding, “We aimed to not only complement our existing spaces, Stacks I and
Stacks II were named affectionately after the neighboring New York Public Library to foster
collaboration amongst attendees.”
The Reservoir accommodates 18 people and has 345 square feet of space.
Groups will find 86-inch CreateBoards with a touchscreen whiteboard and wireless casting, plus
a 360-degree Meeting Owl for remote groups to meet with in-person participants seamlessly.
Lisa Waldie, the senior design manager at Masterworks Development Co., LLC, designed the
new meeting spaces to have an earth-tone decor with tiny pops of color (seen in paintings,
greenery, furnishings) infused throughout.
Meeting planners can book up to 70 people for an intimate reception with The Fountain. The
flexible meeting space, which comes with adjustable audio and light management, can also be
split into two rooms, providing flexibility for a range of setups. Park Terrace Hotel’s event spaces
are fully equipped with state-of-the-art technology, LED projectors, Polycom phone stations, and
one gigabyte of instantaneous wi-fi connectivity.
These new spaces complement the property’s other luxe meeting rooms, including Stacks I and
Stacks II, The Pergola, and The Ivy, which overlooks the beautiful Bryant Park through its floor-
to-ceiling windows.
