ST. LOUIS (Oct. 2, 2025) — The Ritz-Carlton, St. Louis [3] (100 Carondelet Plaza, St. Louis, MO 63105) today announced the grand reopening of its historic ballroom following a multi-million-dollar renovation that redefines one of the Midwest’s premier event venues. Long the setting for St. Louis’ most celebrated weddings, galas, and corporate gatherings, the 12,200-square-foot space has been transformed as part of the hotel’s 35th anniversary celebration, setting a new standard for luxury events in the region.
The transformation, led by internationally acclaimed design firm BAMO in collaboration with St. Louis-based BSI Constructors, completes a multi-year evolution of the property. Recent updates have refreshed beloved spaces, including The Cigar Club [4], The Lobby Lounge [4], Casa Don Alfonso [5], and the addition of The Solarium [6], the Hotel’s ivy-latticed, glass-enclosed terrace.
Highlights of the design include:
- Bespoke Phillip Jeffries wallcoverings, featuring hand-crafted wood grain that layers metallic leaf, botanicals, butterflies, and birds into a shimmering garden scene, create a large-scale mural rich in color, texture, and dimension throughout the Event Corridor.
- Venetian mouth-blown crystal chandeliers crafted by master artisans in Murano, Italy, are layered throughout the adjoining Event Corridor and Grand Ballroom.
- Tailored furnishings that echo the ambiance and elevated charm of the full hotel experience.
- Soft ambient lighting enhances the sparkle of the chandeliers, unifying the ballroom and foyer into a seamless setting for intimate celebrations and large-scale galas.
“The reopening of our Grand Ballroom allows us to once again serve as the premier setting for life’s most meaningful moments,” said Michael Cooper, Director of Sales and Marketing at The Ritz-Carlton, St. Louis. “This renovation is both a tribute to our history and a promise to the community that we will continue to offer world-class experiences for decades to come.”
