FIRE Restaurant & Lounge Turns Up the Heat with New Culinary Lead
DENVER, Colo. (February 26, 2025) – The ART Hotel Denver, Curio
Collection by Hilton [1] is delighted to announce Tharon Weighill as the
new executive chef at FIRE Restaurant & Lounge [4]. Chef Weighill’s
arrival signals an exciting resurgence of passion and innovation at the
signature restaurant, infusing the menu with bold flavors and a
distinctive personal touch.
“The addition of Chef Tharon Weighill to our culinary team welcomes a
new era of culinary excellence,” said General Manager Dorian Phillips.
“With his focus on mentorship and encouragement, Chef Weighill will
inspire our culinary team to turn up the heat, heightening the flavor
profile and presentation of each dish, taking our dining offerings to
the next level.”
Following his schooling at California Culinary Academy in San Francisco,
Chef Weighill moved to Colorado to kick-start his career as sous chef at
Le Central. Soon after, Weighill was tapped to assist with the opening
of Guard and Grace in Denver, where he truly honed his culinary skillset
under the mentorship of Troy Guard. After a few years with TAG
restaurant group, Weighill held roles at several impressive Denver
establishments including head chef at STE. Ellie, a gastropub located
under the award-winning Colt and Grey, executive sous chef and chef de
cuisine at Denver Country Club, and executive chef at Marriott Boulder.
The COVID-19 pandemic prompted Chef to pivot and go back to school for
engineering, however, he quickly realized that a desk job was not his
nature and returned to the kitchen. With his extensive experience and
knowledge of providing elevated banquet events, Chef Weighill is eager
to be back in the action leading all culinary operations at FIRE
Restaurant & Lounge.
Chef Weighill will transform the kitchen into a dynamic, high-energy
space with his keen eye for detail and love for experimentation.
Weighill’s encouraging attitude will empower his team to bring
excitement and individuality to every plate, delivering a memorable and
artful dining experience that exceeds guests’ expectations.
