Philadelphia Museum of Art in Celebration of FIFA World Cup 26

The temporary installation on the iconic steps will help welcome visitors to Philadelphia during the tournament

PHILADELPHIA – Today, installation began on the iconic steps in front of the Philadelphia Museum of Art, where the Philadelphia host city logo will display in celebration of the city’s role welcoming FIFA World Cup 26™ fans from across the globe. Commissioned by Philadelphia Soccer 2026 and PHL Sports, a division of the Philadelphia Convention and Visitors Bureau, the temporary installation creates a unique and immersive experience for visitors and soccer fans.As one of Philadelphia’s most recognizable landmarks, the steps serve as a highly visible symbol of the city’s role as a FIFA World Cup™ host city, connecting fans to the excitement of the tournament as they explore Philadelphia’s neighborhoods, public spaces, and arts and culture offerings, demonstrating that World Cup experiences extend beyond gamedays throughout the destination. Thousands of fans will pass by the steps throughout the tournament as a gateway to the Philadelphia FIFA Fan Festival at Lemon Hill. The temporary installation will be up through the end of tournament play in the city, which wraps up in Philadelphia on July 4 with a Round of 16 match.Meg Kane, host city executive for Philadelphia Soccer 2026, is available foran  interview.
