ORANGE COUNTY, CALIF. – Pendry Hotels & Resorts is pleased to announce the appointment of Stephane Mercier as General Manager of Pendry Tampa, the highly anticipated luxury hotel and residential development set to open in 2027. Mercier brings more than 35 years of global hospitality experience, with a distinguished career spanning Europe, the Americas, and the Caribbean.
Most recently, he served as Managing Director of The National Hotel Miami Beach, where he led the luxury boutique hotel’s operations while concurrently overseeing the pre-opening planning and development for a new hospitality project in Marrakech, Morocco. His impressive career includes serving as General Manager of the Waldorf Astoria Atlanta Buckhead, where he successfully led the property’s repositioning following its transition from Mandarin Oriental, as well as General Manager of Conrad Miami, overseeing 205 guestrooms and suites alongside 113 branded residences. Mercier also led the pre-opening and successful launch of Conrad Cartagena, establishing the premier five-star resort as a destination in the region.
