NOENMCC’s latest Top Workplaces honor comes alongside new CityBusiness Reader Rankings recognition.
The New Orleans Ernest N. Morial Convention Center (NOENMCC) has once again been recognized as a regional Top Workplace by The Times-Picayune, marking the 11th time receiving this distinction and placing third among honorees in the Large Business category. The Convention Center was also named a winner in the Best Event & Meeting Facility category in the New Orleans CityBusiness 2026 Reader Rankings.
The annual Top Workplaces recognition celebrates organizations that prioritize employee engagement and workplace excellence. The award follows the Convention Center’s third National Top Workplaces USA recognition earlier this year, further reinforcing NOENMCC’s continued commitment to building a workplace where employees feel valued, supported and connected to the organization’s mission. Alongside the Reader Rankings honor, the recognition reflects the Convention Center’s continued excellence both as an employer and as one of the region’s leading destinations for meetings and events.
“These recognitions reflect the dedication, expertise and pride our employees bring to the Convention Center every day, and the caring and supportive leadership exhibited by our leadership team,” said Jim Cook, President and CEO of the New Orleans Ernest N. Morial Convention Center. “Our team is the foundation of our success, and we are committed to creating a workplace where employees have the tools, resources and opportunities to be their best selves. When our employees succeed, our clients, guests and community benefit.”
The Top Workplaces award is based entirely on employee feedback gathered through a confidential survey administered by Energage, a third-party employee engagement technology firm. The survey evaluates key drivers of workplace culture, including alignment, execution, connection, and overall employee experience.
NOENMCC’s workplace culture is built on investing in the people who help bring its mission to life. The organization’s nearly 450 employees represent a wide range of career paths across departments, including operations, guest services, sales, finance, security, human resources and more. Many team members have built long-term careers at the Convention Center, contributing thousands of years of combined experience and helping create the welcoming, professional environment that supports successful events.
To support continued growth and development, NOENMCC provides employees with opportunities for professional development, leadership training, certifications and wellness initiatives designed to support employees both personally and professionally.
Readers of New Orleans CityBusiness also voted the Convention Center as a winner in the Best Event & Meeting Facility category in the publication’s annual Reader Rankings. With 1.1 million square feet of prime exhibit space on one level, all under one roof, the Convention Center is the largest and most flexible event venue in Louisiana.
The Convention Center’s commitment to its people extends beyond its workforce and into the broader community it serves. As a leading economic driver for New Orleans and Louisiana, NOENMCC has generated $93.2 billion in economic impact since opening, supported thousands of jobs across the region, and awarded $54 million in contracts to small, emerging and disadvantaged businesses since 2019.
