Huynh to Lead Visual Storytelling and Guest-Centric Design Across the Waterfront Hotel

BOSTON (July 22, 2025) – InterContinental Boston [1], the city’s premier luxury hotel located along the historic Boston Waterfront, proudly announces the appointment of Vinson Huynh as Area Creative Director. Building on three successful years leading creative strategy at InterContinental San Francisco, Huynh will now oversee visual direction and brand storytelling for both InterContinental Boston and InterContinental San Francisco—bringing a locally tailored, design-forward approach to luxury hospitality marketing. Huynh’s creative direction is poised to elevate further InterContinental Boston’s position as a leader in modern urban luxury.
“We are thrilled to welcome Vinson Huynh to InterContinental Boston,” said Eric Pittfield, Director of Sales & Marketing. “His exceptional eye for design, deep understanding of emerging trends, and proven ability to build meaningful brand narratives will be instrumental in continuing to position InterContinental Boston as the premier luxury destination for discerning travelers.”
Huynh joins InterContinental Boston with a strong track record as Area Creative Director for InterContinental San Francisco, where he has spent the past three years spearheading innovative campaigns, reimagining guest-facing experiences, and strengthening brand identity across multiple platforms. In his expanded role, he will continue to lead brand innovation for InterContinental San Francisco, while also overseeing creative strategy for InterContinental Boston. There, he will drive visual storytelling, on-property brand experiences, and strategic content development.
Huynh brings over a decade of creative expertise across visual design, photography, digital content, and omnichannel strategy. At InterContinental San Francisco, his work has redefined the guest experience—launching immersive campaigns, leading award-worthy content production, and boosting brand recall by a sizable percentage through cohesive, high-impact storytelling. Under his leadership, the hotel also saw an increase in online bookings and a rise in event inquiries, underscoring his ability to blend artistic vision with measurable business results.
As Area Creative Director, Huynh will now leverage his past successes and develop and execute marketing strategies, experiential content, and visual assets that drive revenue growth and elevate the InterContinental Boston identity across digital, print, and in-person touchpoints. In his bi-coastal role, Huynh will regularly travel between Boston and San Francisco to lead and unify creative direction across both properties. His cross-market perspective will ensure a cohesive brand identity while celebrating the distinct culture and character of each city. A passionate photographer—whose work has been published everywhere from billboards in Times Square to renowned culinary and LGBT magazines like DNA and Plate —Huynh brings a unique artistic lens to his role. As Area Creative Director, he will channel this creative perspective into visual storytelling that reflects the essence of the brand and the vibrant spirit of the destinations it represents. “I’m honored to bring my vision to InterContinental Boston,” said Vinson Huynh, Area Creative Director. “Boston’s rich cultural energy, layered with InterContinental’s refined approach to hospitality, creates endless storytelling opportunities.

I look forward to building on the property’s strong foundation and elevating the guest experience through thoughtful, dynamic design.” For more information about InterContinental Boston, please visit the hotel’s website [1].

About InterContinental Boston:
Initially opened in 2006, the InterContinental Boston is a 424-room hotel set on Boston’s picturesque waterfront at the intersection of some of the city’s most iconic neighborhoods. Built on the site of the Boston Tea Party, the hotel was constructed in a way that evokes the image of sails blowing through the wind, paying homage to the maritime history of both its immediate surroundings and the larger destination. Having spent the last few years undergoing multiple phases of renovations that have resulted in an entirely new InterContinental Boston experience, the property is home to some of the largest rooms in the city with floor-to-ceiling window views of the Boston harbor, over 25,000 square feet of event space, the Spa InterContinental, which is complete with a cutting-edge fitness center, one of the only indoor pools in Boston, revitalizing body and face treatments and day pass and membership access for both guests and locals, a brand-new lobby space, curated 2-day trip itineraries for visitors, and so much more. On the culinary front, the hotel debuted three new dining destinations throughout 2024 that celebrate a modern take on Boston-style gastronomy and include Matria, which serves spirited Northern Italian cuisine that transports guests to the foothills of the Alps, Bar Fellini, which is the hotel’s refined Italian-inspired cocktail lounge that gives Boston a taste of the beloved aperitivo culture, and The Loyall Counting Room. This exclusive and rebellious speakeasy concept pays tribute to historic revolutionaries.
