This year’s Brisbane Truck Show smashed attendance records, with 54,790 patrons through the doors of the ASM Global-managed Brisbane Convention & Exhibition Centre (BCEC).
Hosted by BCEC since 2011, the Brisbane Truck Show stands alone as the premier event in Australia for the transport industry.
With a 12,000 increase in attendees from the 2023 Show, the all-time high attendance was underpinned by record numbers of international and Australian industry decision makers, along with local enthusiasts.
These figures will eclipse the 92,982 room nights and $43.6 million impact on Queensland’s economy from the 2023 event.
Organised by Heavy Vehicle Industry Australia (HVIA), the Brisbane Truck Show is the biggest automotive exhibition in the Southern Hemisphere. The Show presents everything that makes the trucking industry great and keeps Australia connected, with innovation, road safety, sustainability, and education all on the agenda.
According to HVIA CEO Todd Hacking, the excellent result confirms the Show’s standing as a world-class event.
Beyond the BCEC, Truck Week 2025 extended the Show into a hugely successful week-long festival of all things trucking.
What began in 1968 as an event to connect members with their customers has evolved into much more – a week-long festival.
The Show now ranks as Australia’s largest industry exhibition, with many other events that run alongside the Truck Show that make it a compelling opportunity for everyone to get together in Brisbane every two years, as evidenced by this year’s eye-popping attendance.
Big rigs, trucks, trailers, and accessories, along with the very latest in transport, equipment, and related technologies, filled 35,000 square metres of space over three levels of the Convention Centre.
The Brisbane Truck Show is the largest exhibition held at the BCEC in terms of size and scale. It has a multiplier effect on the city’s economy, due to the involvement of suppliers, contractors, and other local businesses connected to the Show. This is in addition to the 17 associated events held at BCEC during the Show.
Todd Hacking says the Brisbane Truck Show is the most logistically challenging event in Australia.
“The HVIA team relies on the BCEC operations team, integrating seamlessly to ensure a smooth event. 2025 was no exception, with the staff of the BCEC going above and beyond to ensure a world-class
event.”
BCEC General Manager, Kym Guesdon, said it was an honour to host the Brisbane Truck Show, which was one of the highlights on the Brisbane events calendar, with enormous appeal and benefit to the city. “The Truck Show is a celebration and recognition of the crucial role truckies play in keeping our country connected.”
In the spirit of reconciliation and respect, Brisbane Convention & Exhibition Centre (BCEC) warmly acknowledges the Traditional Custodians of the land on which BCEC now stands. We pay our respects to Elders past and present, and recognise their enduring contribution to the culture and spirit of the land.
