ATLANTA (Jan. 16, 2024) – Atlanta Convention & Visitors Bureau (ACVB)
announces the hiring of Maggie McDaniel as director of public relations.
McDaniel will oversee the strategic priorities of the public relations
team, ensuring consistent messaging and a positive public image that
reflects the vision and mission of ACVB. McDaniel will be the lead
contact for convention trade media and will work with our convention
clients to support their media needs.
McDaniel brings nearly 10 years of public relations, crisis, and
communications experience to this role. Before ACVB, McDaniel served
as director of communications at Stripe Theory, where she led internal
and external communications efforts and oversaw project management for a
wide range of clients, including hospitality, financial services,
consumer product goods, and transportation. McDaniel is an active
member of the Public Relations Society of America’s Georgia chapter.
She is the chapter’s secretary and was named to its Forty
Under 40 class in 2019. McDaniel is also a Junior League
of Atlanta member and volunteers for the Atlanta Ronald McDonald House
Charities. She is also an alumna of the Georgia Forward 2019 Young
Gamechangers program.
McDaniel received a Bachelor of Journalism with a public relations
emphasis from the University of Mississippi.
