Atlanta Convention & Visitors Bureau Announces New Director of Membership and Corporate Events

ATLANTA (August 12, 2025) – Atlanta Convention & Visitors Bureau (ACVB) announces Megan Wilkinson’s transition from destination services executive to the director of membership and corporate events.  

 In her new leadership role, Wilkinson will lead recruitment and retention programs for ACVB’s current and prospective members. She will also oversee planning a range of industry events, including ACVB’s annual meeting and Atlanta Hospitality Hall of Fame ceremony.  

 Wilkinson has held several roles within the organization, beginning as a coordinator of trade show sales in 2016, then advancing to manager of sales, and most recently serving as Destination Services Executive. For the past six years, she has played a pivotal role in supporting major citywide events, including the CHEERSPORT National All-Star Cheerleading Championship, the DECA International Career Development Conference, and the SkillsUSA National Leadership & Skills Conference. She has also led the planning and execution of UpNext Atlanta, overseeing sponsorships, run-of-show, and tracking attendance.  

 Wilkinson is an active member of the Event Service Professionals Association and recently received her Certified Meeting Professional (CMP) certification. Wilkinson is a graduate of Appalachian State University, holding a degree in business administration with a major in hospitality and tourism management.
