LOS ANGELES — ASM Global and auto auctioneer Mecum Auctions have entered into a multiyear strategic partnership. The agreement will allow Mecum to capitalize on ASM Global’s expertise and reach for centralized booking and routing across its network of more than 200 venues throughout North America. Mecum Auctions will also receive access to ASM Global’s marketing professionals and creative campaigns to drive exposure, maximize sales and enhance the guest experience. In addition, ASM Global’s Event Innovation Team will secure entertainment to expand on existing event formats and develop VIP experiences.

In partnership with ASM Global and its VenueShield reopening program and protocols, Mecum Auctions reportedly generated more than $122.8 million in overall sales at its recently held live classic and collector car auction at Osceola Heritage Park in Kissimmee, FL. With a total of more than 2,000 vehicles crossing the auction block Jan. 7-16, 2021, the reserve-based auction achieved an 89 percent sell-through rate. The next two marquee Mecum auctions will take place at ASM Global-managed State Farm Stadium in Glendale, AZ, March 18-20, 2021, and at Houston’s NRG Park, April 8-10, 2021.
