SAN ANTONIO (August 2, 2023) – Visit San Antonio (VSA) shares staff updates which include strategic additions to the salesforce for Alamo City’s official sales and marketing organization.
“Strategically growing our team and promoting internally when possible adds even more firepower to positioning San Antonio as a premier meetings destination to new and existing clients,” said Marc Anderson, Visit San Antonio President & CEO. “San Antonio will benefit greatly from Amanda and Brenda’s experience as we continue leading our group sales recovery.”
Amanda Tutor has been promoted to National Sales Manager, handling the important Texas in-house market. Tutor moves into her new role after almost two years as Special Event Manager in VSA’s Partners, Experience, and Events department, handling a variety of internal and external events. Her background includes San Antonio’s Tobin Center for Performing Arts selling and operating private events, and events company CE Group where she was the lead sales and event operator for the DMC division.
Washington, D.C.-based Brenda Berrones joins Visit San Antonio’s Sales Team as a National Sales Manager for the Mid-Atlantic Market (250-999 peak rooms), covering Washington, D.C., Virginia, Maryland, Delaware, and West Virginia. With a background in hospitality, Berrones previously served as a Senior Sales Executive at Renaissance Washington, D.C. Downtown Hotel, where she handled corporate and association accounts in the Northeast. Prior to that, she worked in similar roles at the Washington Marriott Wardman Park, Marriott Marquis Chicago, Worthington Renaissance in Dallas-Fort Worth, and JW Marriott San Antonio Hill Country Resort & Spa.
