



Rhonda Walker has been named national accounts manager for the PHLCVB,
focusing on the Washington, DC, Maryland, and Virginia areas. In this
role, she is responsible for maintaining and building the corporate and
association segments in the region. Prior to joining the PHLCVB, Rhonda
was director of sales and marketing for Experience Prince George’s
County, Maryland, and senior sales executive for Renaissance Esmeralda
Resort and Spa in the Greater Palm Springs area. She is a member of
several associations, including the Association of Meeting
Professionals, National Coalition of Black Meeting Professionals and
LGBT Meeting Professionals Association.
Kelly DeSorte has joined the PHLCVB as executive meetings manager. With
more than two decades of experience in the hospitality industry, she is
responsible for maintaining and actively building sales from multiple
territories. Before joining the Bureau, Kelly served as a senior account
executive, US account sales for Marriott International. She has held
several other positions with Marriott International including account
executive and area director of sales.
Dan Casarella is the PHLCVB’s new creative copywriter, overseeing and
executing the organization’s annual content plan, including web content,
social media platforms and annual print publications. Prior to joining
the PHLCVB, Dan served as marketing coordinator for Lightning Media
Partners and hospitality coordinator and associate producer for Jimmy
Kimmel Live! Convention
Kareem Abdullah has been appointed staff accountant for the PHLCVB.
Prior to joining the organization, he served as the financial administrator
for the University of Pennsylvania and collateral support for Westcor
Land Title Insurance Company, focusing on data analysis and
reconciliation of accounts and assignments. Convention
