Iconic Hollywood, FL Resort Sets Record for Third Largest Single-Asset Hotel Sale in US History

Hollywood, FL (May 3, 2023) – The award-winning Diplomat Beach Resort, located at 3555 S Ocean Drive has announced its record-breaking property sale from Brookfield Properties to Trinity Fund Advisors LLC for $835 million dollars.

Effective immediately, Trinity Fund Advisors LLC also announced the signing of a 40-year management agreement with Hilton Hotels and Resorts, to oversee the Resort’s operation under the Curio Collection by the Hilton brand. As owners of other prestigious hospitality destinations not limited to the Hilton Los Cabos Beach & Golf Resort, Grande Lakes Orlando Resort, JW Marriott, and Ritz-Carlton Orlando, Trinity’s decision to tap Hilton for long-term property management was made with ease considering that Hilton’s continual rankings within the Top 10 best places to work in the US, additionally standing as the 2nd best workplace globally according to Fortune Magazine.

The Diplomat’s sale transaction is the third largest single-asset hotel/resort sale in United States history, serving as a strong statement regarding the durability and economic muscle of South Florida. Post-Covid, the South Florida lodging industry has seen a tremendous recovery, making it one of the best-performing hotel/resort markets in the country.

During his storied career, Lane has acquired many accolades not limited to Historic Hotels of America’s “Historic Hotelier of the Year” in 2014 and the Illinois Hotel and Lodging Association’s “Hotelier of the Year” in 2015. Kyle Simmons, who joined The Diplomat in 2021 from Margaritaville Brand’s international flagship Resort in Hollywood, will continue to serve as the Director of Marketing, Public Relations, and eCommerce.
