BALTIMORE MD – On Monday, April 18th the Baltimore Convention Center’s Executive Director, Mac Campbell, was sworn in by Baltimore City’s Mayor, Brandon Scott. Mac was appointed to lead the Center following the retirement of former Executive Director, Peggy Daidakis.
During the event, Mayor Scott welcomed Mac back to the Center after his brief departure and thanked him for stepping in as the organization’s new leader. Mayor Brandon Scott shared his excitement regarding this new journey for the Center and stated, “We are going to do everything in our blood to make sure it includes a big, massive renovation so that we can see the convention center take its next shape and its next life.” In attendance at the event was the mayor’s team, including Deputy Mayor Justin Williams, and the Center’s senior staff to support Mac in confirming this next step of his career.
