Owensboro, KY (August 15, 2024)_ – RiverPark Center is excited to
welcome Chris Patterson as the new General Manager. With over three
decades of experience in the entertainment and event management
industry, Patterson has demonstrated exceptional leadership and
expertise in managing large-scale venues, producing high-profile events,
and leading diverse teams. Most recently serving as the General Manager
of the Pittsburg Memorial Auditorium, he oversaw the operations of a
1,600-seat theater and a 10,000-square-foot convention center. In this
role, he was responsible for the booking and presentation of over 400 events
annually, including bringing Casting Crowns, Aaron Lewis, Travis Tritt,
AJ Croce, Ozark Mountain Daredevils, Ben Haggard, and others to the Four
States region. Patterson also worked with the Blue Room Comedy Club in
Springfield, MO, will present national touring comedians in Pittsburg.
Before this role, he served as the Tour Business Manager for Peter Pan
360, a Cirque du Soleil-style show, where he managed all financial
aspects of the tour across multiple cities. Patterson also played a key
role in producing Katy Perry’s landmark concert at the Philippine
Arena in 2015.
At Olympia Entertainment in Detroit, Patterson served as Director of
Booking and Production overseeing the annual presentation of 200+
concerts, theatrical productions, and family shows. Venues included the
Fox Theatre, Joe Louis and Cobo Arenas, and Comerica Park.
As Tour Manager and Tour Accountant, he spent over ten years working with
artists from Amy Grant to ZZ Top while touring non-stop across North
America, Europe, and Asia. Some of his other clients included Donny and
Marie, Deep Purple, Lynyrd Skynyrd, Luther Vandross, John Mellencamp,
Joe Cocker, and Sinead O’Connor.
Patterson began his career in the concert business as a member of the Miami
University Concert Board working with industry legend Barbara
“Mother” Hubbard to produce a variety of shows on campus, including
Bob Hope, George Burns, Jay Leno, Sting and R.E.M.
He holds a Bachelor of Science in Business with a Marketing Major
from Miami University in Oxford, Ohio. He brings knowledge
in venue management, event production, and strategic leadership,
continually driving success through innovation and dedicated service.
Patterson is the proud father of a daughter, Avery, and a son, Reade.
