PALM SPRINGS, CA — The 2021 F&D Prime Site Award-winning Palm Springs Convention Center recently welcomed the Palm Springs Chamber of Commerce luncheon, its first large event since closing in March 2020. To mark this event, a ribbon cutting was held in front of the convention center with Mayor Christy Holstege; City Manager Justin Clifton; Nona Watson, CEO of the Palm Springs Chamber of Commerce; and community members. The luncheon was well attended by over 250 guests that were treated to a meal catered by Savoury’s.
“We are proud to open our first official event and welcome the Palm Springs Chamber of Commerce for their annual business luncheon. This is just the beginning, and we are excited to be welcoming all our guests back,” said Rob Hampton, the General Manager of the Palm Springs Convention Center and Bureau of Tourism. “Looking ahead, bookings at the convention center through 2022 are very strong.”
In just a few days, the convention center will welcome its first convention and tradeshow, with over 850 attendees.
