Ernest Jackson Named Director of Facilities
NASHVILLE, Tenn. – Music City Center President and Chief Executive
Officer Charles Starks has appointed Ernest Jackson as the Director of
Facilities for the 2.1 million square foot convention center.
Jackson is from Jackson, Tennessee, and studied at the University of
Tennessee at Martin. He began his career in facilities management in
Anchorage, AK, where he served as Operations Director of SMG of Alaska,
Inc. for 23 years. Having joined the MCC team as a set-up manager in
2013, before the building’s grand opening, he is considered a member
of the center’s Founders Club. He is also a graduate of the
International Association of Venue Managers (IAVM) Venue Management
School (VMS).
As the Facilities Director, Jackson will oversee set-up and housekeeping
operations in all areas of the building including exhibit halls, meeting
rooms, lobbies, restrooms, corridors, elevators, offices, and storage.
He will also be responsible for inventory. His direct reports will
include the managers of Set Up and Housekeeping.
