MPI wraps up inaugural coaching cohort with partner Visit Fort Worth

DALLAS, TX, Monday, September 9, 2024—Meeting Professionals
International (MPI) and Visit Fort Worth have partnered to create a new
coaching program that matches planners with coaches to complete a
six-week program that helps them define their career trajectories.

“Crafting Your Professional Development” and “Continuing Your
Professional Development Journey”—MPI’s new coaching cohorts—are
meticulously curated experiences designed to empower emerging talent and
seasoned experts alike.

The program takes a wholistic approach. It’s designed to help
participants learn about themselves as professionals and people.
Participants will focus on topics such as making better decisions,
managing stress, clarifying values in work and life and increasing
resilience.

“These programs serve as beacons of innovation and empowerment, offering
transformative journeys for participants at every career stage,” says
Tim Luepke, director of the MPI Academy, “Interactive elements, peer
learning and mentorship opportunities enrich the participant experience,
fostering meaningful connections and actionable insights.”

Each coaching cohort serves two different groups. For young
professionals embarking on their journey, “Crafting Your Professional
Development” serves as a compass, guiding them through foundational
pillars of success. From crafting compelling narratives to mastering
networking strategies and honing leadership skills, every facet is
expertly curated to equip participants for the demands of the industry.

Senior-level professionals are set up with coaches in the “Continuing
Your Professional Development Journey” pathway of the program, which
focuses on navigating the complexities of leadership roles within the
events arena. Facilitated by seasoned coaches with a deep understanding
of the industry’s intricacies, this program delves into advanced
topics such as executive presence, stakeholder management and
decision-making.

Post-program support for all participants includes access to resources,
networking avenues and continued learning.

“By providing participants with the opportunity to grow as leaders and
colleagues, it’s not only enriching their individual careers but also
contributing to the collective advancement of the industry,” says Amy
Brown, senior vice president of convention sales and services for Visit
Fort Worth. “When individuals are empowered to reach their full
potential, it creates a ripple effect that benefits organizations,
communities and the industry as a whole.”

The first coaching cohort wrapped up in early August with a total of 20
participants completing the program. The Fall 2024 Coaching cohort is
now taking applications and kicks off this October at IMEX America in
Las Vegas.
