Spaces, Incentives, and Hotels Being Improved for the New Year.

JACKSONVILLE, FL (November 29, 2023) – Enhanced meeting spaces,
expanded promotional programs and newly developed accommodations keep
Jacksonville top-of-mind for meetings and convention planners.

Currently, organizers are encouraged to take advantage of the
continuation of Visit Jacksonville’s popular Sunkissed Savings [2]
program. This is designed to facilitate meetings, events, and conferences
in Duval County from now through September 30, 2024. Planners interested
in bringing their meetings to Jacksonville can send their requests to
Visit Jacksonville for monetary incentive, calculated based on the total
actualized hotel rooms their event will book. If the event is recurring
annually, with one of the event dates before September 30, 2024, the
incentive may be applied to each date thereafter.

Planners should also note recent renovations [3] at the Conference
Center at the Main Library [4], which included installing new carpeted
flooring and ensuring the meeting spaces are adaptable for various size
groups. The library’s central location in Downtown Jacksonville and
proximity to some of the city’s best hotels, restaurants, and green
spaces, including James Weldon Johnson Park [5], make it an ideal choice
for meetings and events.

The most recent Jacksonville Hotel Pipeline Report [6] reflects the
status of properties opening and still in development. The report
demonstrates detailed metrics on hotel development throughout the city,
including hotels and rooms by area, estimated project completion dates,
the proportion of properties in different stages of development, and a
list of potential future properties yet to break ground. Two hotels
recently opened, TownePlace Suites by Marriott Jacksonville Airport [7]
and WaterWalk Jacksonville [8]. Another four are projected to be
completed early next year and 11 properties are still on the horizon.
