Chicago’s largest hotel and the largest Hyatt in the world beckons travelers to newly designed rooms, suites and meetings space
CHICAGO, IL. (June 3, 2024) — Today, Hyatt Regency Chicago, is proud
to announce the completion of its highly anticipated $150 million
renovation. This extensive transformation, which included each of its
2,032 guest rooms and suites, along with the Regency and Crystal
Ballrooms, showcases the hotel’s commitment to providing exceptional
accommodations, gathering spaces, and unforgettable guest experiences
for both business and leisure travelers.
“As we celebrate 50 years in 2024, we’re thrilled to unveil a new
chapter in our hotel’s story,” said Hotel Manager Mark Wagner. “As
the largest hotel in Chicago, we look forward to offering guests
elevated accommodations, alongside fresh meeting and networking
spaces.”
The re-energized guest rooms feature an open design, contemporary
furniture, and plush comforts to create an intentional sense of calm
from the moment you step inside. Spaces are uncluttered, thoughtfully
curated for work and socializing, and endlessly flexible. The Windy
City’s rich history is represented in art installments throughout
and design elements feature graphic patterns of Chicago’s Art Deco,
while the color palette pays homage to Chicago’s Greystones.
The Regency and Crystal Ballrooms feature modern finishes and a
neutral color palette for a fresh take on gatherings in the heart of
downtown Chicago. The meeting and event space renovation includes new
architectural lighting, fresh flooring, wall coverings, bathrooms,
furniture, and curated artwork in pre-function spaces. Designed by
Ealain Studio, the refreshed spaces draw inspiration from the City
itself, taking cues from Chicago’s innovative and urban heritage,
expressed through greystone colors that pay homage to the City and art
installments that represent 360 years of significant events in
Chicago’s history.
Planned renovations to the Grand Ballroom, in addition to several
smaller event spaces, are slated for completion in 2025.
In honor of the renovation and the hotel’s 50th anniversary, Hyatt
Regency Chicago is rolling out the following new guest experiences,
