COLUMBUS, OH (July 30, 2024) – This December, the Holiday Hoopla High
School Basketball Showcase will bring together 34 of Ohio’s top high
school basketball teams for an unforgettable three-day event. Hosted at
the prestigious Battelle Grand Ballroom inside the Greater Columbus
Convention Center (GCCC), this showcase is set to deliver high-octane
basketball action in a premium setting from December 27-29.

Brought to you by Bleacher Republic, Bleacher Prospect, and NEO
Spotlight, the Holiday Hoopla Showcase will feature 34 teams and 18
games over three days in a unique “Central Ohio vs. the State” theme,
pitting teams from the region against teams from within the state.

“We are proud to add this signature high school basketball showcase to
the basketball history of events in Battelle Grand Ballroom and the
Greater Columbus Convention Center,” said Matt Morgan, Holiday Hoopla
Executive Director. “The interest and excitement by each school has been
overwhelming and this event will showcase some of the best of high
school basketball talent from across the state.”

“The GCCC has a storied history of great high school basketball events
in Battelle Grand Ballroom and we are thankful to Bleacher Republic for
the opportunity to add to that legacy with Holiday Hoopla,” said John
Page, ASM Global Regional Vice President and Greater Columbus Convention

Battelle Grand Ballroom, Ohio’s largest multi-purpose ballroom, debuted
in January 2010 after a 16-month renovation and has hosted numerous
athletic competitions and memorable basketball games since that period
and in the span prior going back to the ballroom’s precursor Battelle
Hall, which opened in the 1980s. The ABL’s Columbus Quest, the Wendy’s
Classic and various high school games are the convention center’s
basketball legacy from the early era, while hosting the OHSAA Boys and
Girls’ Basketball District Championships, NCAA Division III Elite 8 and
participating in The Basketball Tournament (TBT) are its recent past.

In August, as students return to school, matchups will be announced with
tickets going on-sale. Ticket options will include single-game general
admission, single-game VIP seating, all-day general admission and
all-day VIP passes, along with an all-weekend pass. Basketball fans can
receive matchup and ticket information prior to the general public
announcement by emailing Bleacher Republic at
