Refreshed design blends modern elegance with local heritage to enhance
the guest experience
SHREVEPORT, LA (November 29, 2023) – Located adjacent to the Shreveport
Convention Center, Hilton Shreveport [1] announces the completion of a
multimillion-dollar renovation including an extensive redesign of the guest
rooms, meeting spaces, lobby, rooftop pool, fitness center, exterior and more.
The hotel is managed by HRI Lodging [2] and the design was led by
Washington DC-based 3877 [3], with support from Benson & Falgout [4]
and Moline Construction [5].
“We are pleased to unveil the refreshed Hilton Shreveport to locals and
visitors to the area, “says Marianne Nelson, general manager of Hilton
Shreveport. “Our renewed property offers modern amenities that cater to
the discerning needs of business travelers and groups gathering at the
nearby convention center, while also providing an immersive experience
for leisure travelers.”
DESIGN BY 3877
With design led by 3877, Hilton Shreveport’s refined aesthetic embodies
the essence of the neighborhood’s rich history and lively atmosphere,
fitting its central location connected to the Convention Center and
historic downtown. A warm, neutral color palette is woven throughout the
property and complemented by pops of rich colors including forest green,
cobalt blue and purple that bring the various spaces to life. The
patterns and textures used throughout the hotel were thoughtfully
selected to reflect Shreveport’s key signifiers, translating iconic
elements like the Long-Allen Bridge, the Red River, and the beautiful
American Rose Center into touchpoints of connectivity for guests to
discover throughout their stay. Additional design elements include
historic textiles and creative art installations such as vintage photos
of the city’s past displayed at the bar. The sophisticated design
approach aims to enhance the guest experience by incorporating modern
elements that meet today’s standards while simultaneously embracing
localized elements that create a distinct sense of place.
The exterior of the Hilton Shreveport was also revamped with fresh paint
and upgraded signage, breathing new life into the look and feel of the
building. An outdoor seating area was created to expand the hotel’s
common spaces and allow for ample seating across the entire first floor
of the property.
LOBBY
The reimagined lobby introduces a stunning focal centerpiece with a
freestanding fireplace surrounded by rich green herringbone wall tile
that can be enjoyed from either side of the room. Flanking the sides of
the fireplace, sleek lounge-style seating including plush blue couches,
chairs and modern footstools invite guests to linger longer in the
spacious common area.
GUESTROOMS & SUITES
A welcome respite for business and leisure travelers alike, Hilton
Shreveport’s 311 contemporary guest rooms were brightened and refreshed
with cream blackout draperies, and chic light fixtures including bedside
sconces and table lamps, and local artwork. Plush in-room seating
options provide a mix of lounge chairs, ottomans, and desk chairs covered
in patterned grey, dark blue, and brown fabrics to complement existing
carpeting and rich wood tones found throughout the rooms. Amenities
include 42-inch LED TVs, mini-refrigerators, Serta Suite Dreams(R)
bedding, work desks, and Crabtree and Evelyn(R) bath products.
PUBLIC SPACES
Overlooking the city skyline, the hotel’s rooftop features a new
poolside mural created by local Shreveport artist, KaDavien Baylor,
depicting various elements of the city’s rich culture and history, from
a jazz musician to the Long-Allen Bridge and the annual Red River Balloon
Rally. The colorful mosaic offers a playful backdrop to the serene pool
deck which features pergolas filled with new outdoor furniture and cozy
firepits, a waterfall feature alongside the side of the pool, and a
small room with a roll-up glass door offset from the pool deck. The
hotel’s fitness center has also been upgraded with Precor, Peloton and
Hydroflow equipment along with updated millwork, flooring and
wallcoverings.
The hotel offers three dining options, including Coffee Talk Cafe for
Starbucks coffee and pastries, 104 Market serving up classic American
cuisine in a casual bistro setting, and River & Rye for dinner and
drinks while watching a game on the big screen.
MEETINGS & EVENTS
Hilton Shreveport boasts 4 newly revamped meeting rooms to complement
the Shreveport Convention Center’s more than 240,000 square feet of
event space. New touches include green abstract carpeting, dramatic
chandelier light fixtures, and fresh wallpaper. An additional smaller
meeting room was also added, allowing for intimate group functions of up
to seven people, along with new black and gold benches in the
pre-function area. Updated A/V and monitors were also installed
throughout the flexible rooms.
Hilton Shreveport is located at 104 Market St, Shreveport, LA 71101.
