Executive Leadership Focused Discussion on Design, Innovation, and Impact in Partnership with TED

Las Vegas (August 26, 2024) – In 2023, The Venetian Resort Las Vegas
announced the $188 million renovation of its Convention Center and last
week, unveiled the transformation of the first completed floor of the
renovation. The dramatic renovation, which will be completed in stages
through 2026, showcases an effortless combination of classic and
contemporary architecture.

 The stunning transformation of the space was reimagined by esteemed Las
Vegas design firm Woogmaster Studio and inspired by feedback from the
resort’s meetings, incentives, conventions, and exhibition customers.
Meetings and events have been the foundation of the resort’s business
from its inception more than 25 years ago. Key design elements include
an elegant new color palette which presents an upscale departure from
traditional convention spaces, luxury lounge spaces for meetings,
innovative new technology, and premium meeting essentials including
chairs, linens, tableware, and more that will maintain the resort’s
position at the forefront of the meetings industry for years to come.

 Attendees at the first look of the Convention Center refresh were
treated to an executive leadership discussion in partnership with TED
featuring Patrick Nichols, president and chief executive officer of The
Venetian Resort, Tony Yousfi, chief sales officer, and moderated by
Marcy Miles, chief marketing officer. Attendees heard first-hand about
the level of detail and planning that resulted in the design of the new
space, the innovations that meeting planners and attendees will
experience, and the positive impacts meetings have on the local
community.

 “What really brought this project to life was the feedback from our
customers,” said Patrick Nichols, president and chief executive officer
of The Venetian Resort Las Vegas. “This city is the most competitive
meetings market in the world but what’s different about our approach is
that we’re thinking about the entire experience and investing $1.5
billion throughout the resort. So, by next year we’ll have new suites,
new culinary, and new entertainment. The whole entire package will be
best in the business and combined with our service there’s no better
place to be.”

 The renovation will include an elevated lounge-style space for
executives. The new 10,000 square foot speakeasy-style lounge will
provide an opportunity to host invitation-only designed with rich woods,
marble, velvet, and mirror symbolizing a romantic, layered, and modern
take on the Venetian design of 1930s.

 “We are a reflection of our customers’ brands, and we take that
responsibility very seriously,” said Tony Yousfi, chief sales officer of
The Venetian Resort Las Vegas. “We’ve made significant investments to
allow our customers’ brands to come to life including enhanced digital
signage, a state-of-the-art technology, ability to broadcast through a
private channel directly to attendee suites, and more.”

 The Convention Center seamlessly integrates traditional architectural
with contemporary design elements that result in a harmonious fusion of
the resort’s rich heritage and modern sophistication. The interior is
adorned with a serene color palette of cream, white and platinum,
accented by caramel upholstery and brilliant blue demark carpeting – all
of which infuse a touch of vibrant energy. Classic silhouetted Murano
glass chandeliers and streamlined brass sconces situated throughout set
an interplay of ‘modernity in tradition’ while polished furnishings,
rich embroideries, and antiques enliven the promenades with a bespoke
level of layering, detail, and attention. Throughout the complex, a
robust furnishing and fine art program will be complimented by improved
lighting, audio visual updates, and thoughtfully integrated
state-of-the-art digital screens and technology to create an even more
powerful backdrop for meeting planners and events.
