The associates of the Connecticut Convention Center donated $1,500 to three different area charities at a recent associate luncheon. The Connecticut Convention Center team selected charities that were meaningful to them and their community. The funds presented to Talk About Curing Autism, Leaps of Faith Water Ski Club, and Educated Canines Assisting with Disabilities were raised by the associates through the Waterford Group Charitable Foundation. Talk About Curing Autism is dedicated to educating, empowering and supporting families affected by autism. Leaps of Faith Water Ski Club helps individuals with disabilities “soar beyond the boundaries” through adaptive sports. Educated Canines Assisting with Disabilities educates and places Service Dogs with people with disabilities, whether they are Veterans, children with Autism, or people of any age who have degenerative disabilities, to provide greater independence and mobility.
“Our associates work hard to be able to donate to our community,” commented Mike Costello, General Manager for the Convention Center. “Each of these charities speaks personally to the causes our associates are most passionate about. It is an honor to help them further their causes.”
