Andressa Gomes has joined Discover Santa Clara®, the official destination marketing organization (DMO) for Santa Clara, CA, as Sales Manager.
Discover Santa Clara® markets and promotes the city of Santa Clara, the
Santa Clara Convention Center [1], partner hotels and venues as the
destination of choice to national, regional, and local organizations and
as a premium destination for conventions, meetings, trade shows,
athletics, and group leisure events. The destination includes Levi’s®
Stadium [2], location of Super Bowl LX and an official host community
for the 2026 FIFA World Cup(tm), both in 2026. Santa Clara’s
attractions also include California’s Great America [3] amusement park,
Intel Museum [4], and the Triton Museum of Art [5]. The campus of the
renown Santa Clara University [6] is also the location of the historic
Mission Santa Clara de Asis [7], and the de Saisset Museum [8].
In her new position, Gomes will be responsible for presenting Santa
Clara as Northern California’s destination of choice for meetings,
business, and conventions. She will focus on the sale of citywide
events, using the Santa Clara Convention Center Booking Strategy, and
will establish client lists of target businesses and events, which will
meet or exceed economic impact goals and objectives, as well as build
venue and destination brand awareness.

In her most recent role as Sales & Marketing Manager with Visit Walnut
Creek, Gomes led sales initiatives as the liaison between meeting
planners, travel trade professionals, and local hospitality services.
Dedicated to positioning Walnut Creek as a premier destination to drive
business growth and elevated brand awareness, she developed and
implemented a sales process that led to a 233% year-over-year increase
in qualified leads sent to hotel partners, successfully managing 158
leads annually.
“My passion for tourism is reflected in my extensive travel experiences
across 45 countries, where I have witnessed the profound impact of
effective destination promotion. This passion drives me to excel in
promoting and enhancing destinations and tourism experiences,” Gomes
said.
Gomes has held sales positions with SmileDirectClub and Paychex Inc.
She was also HR Team Lead Tribunal de Justiça do Rio Grande do Sul, the
State Supreme Court in Brazil.
She holds a bachelor’s degree in Business Administration from
Universidade Federal do Rio Grande do Sul, a top business school in
Brazil, and has completed marketing and project management courses from
UC Berkeley and Stanford, and a Professional Destination Management
certificate. She is multilingual in Spanish, Portuguese, and English.
