ATLANTA (Oct. 30, 2023 ) – Atlanta Convention & Visitors Bureau (ACVB)
announces the hiring of Reneka Edwards and the promotion of Zack Laws.
Edwards joins the organization as a citywide sales executive. She will
manage groups ranging from 750 rooms or more on the peak. Edwards comes to
ACVB with more than 25 years of experience in the hospitality industry.
She previously worked as senior sales manager at Hyatt Hotels & Resorts
and has also worked across various market segments in numerous cities
including Los Angeles, San Diego, Washington, D.C., and New Orleans.
Laws has been promoted to director of sales and will oversee day-to-day
Department operations. He will continue to manage ACVB’s efforts to
secure sporting events of large-scale format in partnership with Atlanta
Sports Council. Laws joined ACVB in 2010 as a citywide sales manager to
assist with positioning and promoting Atlanta as a premier, global
destination for meetings and conventions. With more than 30 years in the
hospitality industry, Laws currently sits on the board of directors for
Georgia Sports and IAEE’s Southeast Chapter and also serves as the
lodging and hospitality liaison for the 2025 College Football Playoff
National Championship host committee.
