INDIANAPOLIS, IN — Visit Indy has announced that Indianapolis is the first city in the country to bring key AV partners together to offer citywide audiovisual and Internet discounts for hybrid meetings inside the 2020 Prime Site Award-winning Indiana Convention Center and at participating downtown hotel properties.
Indy’s Hybrid Meeting Discount starts at 25 percent off Wi-Fi and 10 percent off AV equipment. RFPs for new bookings must be received by Dec. 31, 2021, and the hybrid meeting must actualize by Dec. 31, 2022. This promotion is good for groups booking a minimum of 50 hotel room nights and meeting inside the Indiana Convention Center or at participating hotels using their in-house AV and Internet providers.
Visit Indy is working with audiovisual partners including Smart City, Bartha, PSAV and Markey’s.
Participating properties include:
- The Alexander
- Conrad Indianapolis
- Crowne Plaza at Historic Union Station
- Embassy Suites Indianapolis Downtown
- Hilton Indianapolis Hotel & Suites
- Hyatt Place + Hyatt House Indianapolis Downtown
- Hyatt Regency Indianapolis
- Indiana Convention Center
- Indianapolis Marriott Downtown
- JW Marriott Indianapolis
- Omni Severin Hotel
- Sheraton City Centre
- The Westin Indianapolis
“Completely virtual events have significant limitations, especially their challenges with helping people make meaningful connections and selling and purchasing products at tradeshows,” said Leonard Hoops, President & CEO of Visit Indy. “It’s why we’re confident face-to-face meetings and conventions will be back, perhaps with more demand than ever. Until that time, we’ll continue our efforts to keep meetings happening, including working with our hotel and AV partners to deliver affordable and successful hybrid events.”
