DENVER, CO – Sheraton Denver Downtown Hotel’s commitment to local, customized ingredients has resulted in a new program that places guests in control. Test Kitchen encourages clients to add their own flair to their reception menu by choosing ingredients that the kitchen will use to design a custom creation. As a component to the upgraded menu, the dish created is then paired with an original craft cocktail from the hotel mixologist.
This ingredient-focused initiative at Sheraton Denver Downtown Hotel, created by Executive Chef Scott Skomal, takes client partnership, as well as food and beverage creativity to a whole new level. “I spent a lot of time combing Colorado for specific ingredients that I love that I could share with our guests,” said Skomal.
Test Kitchen creates a client-driven experience by creating a custom recipe to add to the reception menu. Once the ingredients are chosen, the food and beverage team brainstorms possible recipes that fit the items and the theme. At the tasting stage, the chefs bring in a Sheraton Denver Downtown Hotel mixologist to carefully plan the beverage component that perfectly pairs the food with the drinks, completing the Test Kitchen and creating surprising new pairings and food experiences.
