DALLAS, TX — Meeting Professionals International (MPI) recently announced the panelists for its State of the Industry Leadership Discussion taking place during Global Meetings Industry Day: Virtual on April 14, 2020. The panel includes six of the industry’s top authorities, offering guidance during this time of business disruption, to the nearly 6,000 meeting professionals currently registered for the free 12-hour global broadcast.
Joining the panel are Paul Van Deventer, President and CEO of MPI; Roger Dow, President and CEO of the US Travel Association; Steve O’Malley, Division President of Maritz Travel and MPI Board Chair; Susan Robertson, President and CEO of the American Society of Association Executives; Amy Calvert, CEO of the Events Industry Council; and Jason Dunn, Group Vice President of the Cincinnati USA Convention and Visitors Bureau and Board Chairman of the National Coalition of Black Meeting Professionals.
“This will be the first assembly of the meeting and event industry since the onset of the global pandemic,” said Van Deventer. “Our aim is to offer learnings that are immediately actionable and relevant to our industry community. And this particular panel, along with the remainder of our broadcast, will offer an incredible level of insights and guidance to ensure we will emerge from this crisis stronger and smarter than ever before.”
