ATLANTA, GA – This summer, guests and meeting planners at the Atlanta Marriott Perimeter Center will discover a wide range of updated amenities and enhanced meeting spaces, as the landmark hotel completes its nine-month, multimillion-dollar renovation. In addition to the hotel’s 18,000 sq. ft. of meeting space, the renovation encompasses numerous exterior cosmetic changes and major improvements to all 344 guestrooms.
“The transformation is truly remarkable and is bringing the property up to a new modern standard befitting our location in one of Atlanta’s fastest-growing business and leisure travel areas,” said Denise Gaines, Atlanta Marriott’s Director of Sales and Marketing. “We’re proud to say these improvements incorporate commentary from our guests, and will enable us to continue delivering the best and most innovative guest experiences, year after year.”
Meeting planners and attendees will appreciate the many new features and fresh new design of the property’s 18,000 sq. ft. of flexible indoor meeting space, which will give each room its own individual style with special nods to the Perimeter Center. The property’s largest space, The Grand Ballroom, will be completely overhauled with textured walls, expansive 18-ft. ceilings, unique lighting accents, and custom millwork evoking the ample tree cover of the area. The Junior King and Queen Ballroom will feature an abundance of natural lighting with floor-to-ceiling windows, new champagne and turquoise-accented carpeting, and modern lighting. For pre-function activities, The Grand Ballroom will offer 6,300 sq. ft. and 2,400 sq. ft. of additional space for the Junior Ballroom, all of which have newly designed pre-function space. All spaces have been enhanced with new lighting, carpet, wall treatments and fresh paint.
The renovated hotel will also have an updated boardroom, three private meeting rooms, the intimate Augusta Room, and an outdoor pavilion with 3,000 sq. ft. of space. Each meeting room is aptly named after a nearby road or structure leading to the property. New drapery, carpet and millwork will enrich the boardroom and private meeting spaces for more intimate meetings and break-out sessions.
