HARTFORD, CT – Evan Feinglass, the University of Connecticut’s Associate Director of Athletics/Facilities Management & Planning, has been elected to the Board of Directors of the Connecticut Convention & Sports Bureau (CTCSB).
“Evan has worked with our sports sales staff for many years as a member of the Connecticut Sports Advisory Board,” explains H. Scott Phelps, President of the CTCSB, the State of Connecticut’s official meetings and sports event sales and marketing organization. “He knows the importance of showcasing our state to attract international, national and regional sporting events of all sizes. This results in increased local and state revenue and support jobs for Connecticut residents. Our Director of Sports Marketing Robert Murdock and entire Board look forward to expanding his involvement with our organization as we work to bring new and returning events to our state.”
Feinglass joined UConn’s Division of Athletics in 2007 and is responsible for the operation, maintenance and planning for the athletic facilities on the Storrs, CT campus. He has oversight responsibilities for the facilities, event management and athletics grounds operations, as well as concessions. In addition, he serves as program administrator for men’s ice hockey and women’s volleyball.
He received his undergraduate degree in Business Administration from Washington University in St. Louis, MO. and his Master’s degree in Sport Management from the University of Connecticut.
